Hillary Clinton announced her candidacy for the presidency. We all knew this was coming. Her path looks very clear. She should have the advantage for the general. A Clinton presidency would be the favorite in Vegas if they set up futures on politicians. In a perfect world, she would be nowhere near the nuclear launch codes, but we are probably twenty months away from her blod clotted brain being on the nuclear button. Think of how perfect Hillary Clinton's campaign and ascension to the presidency is in 2016. Even more than Obama because of the feminism angle, Clinton, her personality, her looks, and what she is embody America perfectly.
Wendy Davis embodied the political left's zeitgeist in 2014. Clinton represents so much more. The feminism angle plays so well for right now because of Clinton herself. This will be the "it's women's turn now" like the Economist cover messaging for Obama that "It's time" in late 2008. What a woman, too. Here is a woman you only know due to her husband. She was in a toxic marriage where she was repeatedly humiliated on a state, national and global stage by her husband, but unlike the Lifetime movie, never left him. Wasn't feminism about escaping those bad Silent or GI generation loveless marriages of convenience? She did not divorce and run on her own. She stood by Bill and received the NY US Senate seat as political alimony. She ducked out of running for president in '04, did nothing really in the Senate but vote for the Iraq War, blew '08, and then was Secretary of State as the US saw influence and power recede globally. Her resume is "Libya", and if we ever evaluate Libya 2010 vs. 2015, that one thing looks awful. Hillary running is like the rapidly advancing female executive who is getting promotions because she is the only woman in the division.
Images from Obama's win in 2008 did echo those Hollywood movies where the good whites and some minorities would cheer the integrated, open minded dance crew that saved the rec center. The skeptic would do that handshake and head nod "good job, kid" move. Yahhhh, the cool black guy won! If we get anything like that with Hillary, it will be the image Gen Xers and Millenials know well about Boomer moms demanding applause. "Alright everyone clap for Mrs. So-and-So, this is a big deal, look, Jimmy get back over into that voting booth and you pull that lever or I'm going to ground you." America will get nagged into voting for her. This is 69 year old Hillary doing campaign stops. Look America, you owe it to her. She's acted as your awful mother-in-law for 25 years now. Show some respect. Hillary can claim one for the victims of America despite being a millionaire that rakes in $200,000 or more per speaking appearance. It is 2015, women get everything on the feminist wish list from 1965, and are still unhappy. Let's tack on a Hillary campaign for the hammering away at the patriarchy charade to continue.
Hillary's personality is just so perfect for today. The Clintons have been grifting the world since Bill left the Oval Office, so this is another way to rake in the speaking fees until old Hillary has one blood clot too many. The fake concern for the little guy, the sniping at big money making advances and the lack of any charm reflect what our elites have become. A steady dose of lies that enough of the low information voters will believe from elites who just need to distract enough of the people to loot before it all blows up. Her emails being off limits and deleting four years worth while under subpoena. We forced Nixon out and considered 18 minutes of erased tape as a "smoking gun". Four years of emails. Honey badger don't care. That is our political class. That is our overclass. The law does not apply to them.
Look at her. Did you see her presser? Her wobbling head that looked dizzy at times when fielding questions? She has definitely had some touching up since she last was in the public's eye, and I have not talked about her bloat. A wobbling, bigger girl with a woozy head who likes to drink is perfect for what the USG leviathan has become. America's foreign policy is the unpredictable and huge menace that other countries just hope passes them by unscathed. Forget the federal government, it is what we have become. We pop pills, drink, dope and stuff our faces to avoid dealing with reality. We're fatter than ever. We have delusions that we are what we were in 1946. We do not need competency, we just need the symbol up there. That symbol will show them how far we've come. Progress, yeah, we're progressing and progressive!
Hillary should have run in 2004. It would have been close, but I think she would have won. It would have benefited everyone. She would have been trounced in 2008, so it would be better for everyone. Missed from analysis... Imagine her replacing the deceased Chief Justice Rehnquist with a liberal, and all of those recent 5-4 Justice Kennedy swing wins on the Supreme Court are 5-4 liberal bloc, hive mind wins. Maybe, just maybe, the right would catch on. Maybe 2009 President Romney could have allowed for a decentralization shift, but probably not. Either way, we would be closer to the end game than we are now.
A Clinton presidency gets us closer to that moment. There is a hollowness to this all that would not be present had she run and won in 2004 or even 2008. One has to read half the articles claiming the presidency is the only power base with credibility or the other half, excusing Obama's lack of change, where the presidency is ornamentation and lacking power. Maybe that's why we'll see through those "You've come a long way, baby" political advertisements in 2016, and recognize that the power brokers finally let a lady into the Oval Office because they removed all of its power. Either way, a slightly tipsy, fat and phony careerist Boomer woman well beyond her "use by" date, lumbering side to side and barking orders that may or may not just be for the cameras, is the perfect embodiment of contemporary America.
