Curious Case of Known Terrorists + SM Review-Preview 91

This is something worth digging into, but there has to be something deeper at play with the suicidal moves of the EU elite with regards to leaving the borders open despite terror attacks. Each time one happens, they know they sacrifice some votes to nationalist and ultranationalist parties. I've written before that the parliamentarian way they have things set up, the neoliberal mandarins have cushion, but the danger is in that bloc or blocs becoming too large.

Many of these attackers are known to police. Some are observed and even under watch as they get ready to attack. It is too easy to state that they are just enforcing anarcho-tyranny because the elite realize that each attack harms them. A multiracial melting pot with zero attacks is far superior to one with common attacks that leave dead children in the streets.

This is worth researching because there must be both a high and a low reason. First a high must be pulling strings for specific types of law enforcement and observation. Second, a low might be too tricky to handle for the law enforcement. Jihad and mosques provide quite the cover when jihad is woven into the fabric of the religion and mosques act as recruitment centers.

These recent jihadis have been small time crooks so known to the police might mean something different than observed for jihad possibility. They could even be run as informants and assets for the internal security just monitoring regular crime.

This is the pain of a multiracial, multicultural society. This is why people must go back, the boats must be stopped, the immigration flow must end. More pain will come and will continue until the serious steps and harsh measures that must be taken are taken or formalization of the no-go zones and ethnic enclaves occur.

Last week I wrote on the radicalization of the youth being tied to their presence in a society that resembles more and more American prisons. Weimerica Weekly was about all of the blackpilling around.

This week I will cover the F35 mega-project and how it was a project meant for another era but completely in the MIC corruption mode that Eisenhower warned us about but does not have to be. Weimerica Weekly will cover the odd open marriage glorification in the NYT Mag and then a curious case of the exception being discussed as a means to rewrite our laws.

WW1 - Talented Americans

In this beautifully staged scene, American soldiers gather around the piano to listen to one of their comrades play. American involvement in the war was really secured via our banks. All of those loans to the allies had to be recovered. American business had made bank supplying those Allies. America entered late in the war and hardly entered the battlefield for long before the Armistice. It was the threat of American involvement, the threat of American supplies and the pure numbers game that was needed. This photo is from right before the Armistice in October of 1918 in Argonne, France.

A Geopolitical-Immigration Bullet to Watch

The entire world is allowed to view the endgame that is wrapping up in Venezuela. The mainstream legacy media is even covering the pain in Venezuela. Online socialists are pulling out the 'it wasn't real socialism' line, but their Internet history of statement after statement praising Chavez's communism is there for all to see. Normal conservatives see the failure of Venezuela and can use it as the anti-Left ammunition that it is. Both are avoiding a coming push and the bullet we dodged by not having President Hillary. The Venezuelan refugee crisis will hit.

Venezuelans are starving, have been starving and will continue to starve. The Chavez government took guns from the people, and now that they have failed and people are fighting back, the guns are given to socialist squads to suppress rioters. The heir to Chavez, Maduro, may continue in power albeit with more transparent political processes. There may be a civil war of sorts. There may be a military government that forms and is aligned with DC. It looks ugly now and will continue to for the near future.

This will create a humanitarian crisis. It is already at that stage, but it will become worse and the international community will want to intervene. Once the power conflict is resolved, the demands for intervention for feeding the people will be heard. Along with those calls, will be calls to take in refugees. America has been doing so for years now, and recently even put legislation forward to grant them permanent residence. Those refugees were middle and upper middle class that could hop over to south Florida and wait out the bad times.

Now picture a President Clinton in office with the current state of Venezuela. The legislation for the older refugees already has bipartisan support. All she would need is to squeeze some GOPe types, and boom, we'd have a bipartisan approach to taking in poor, hungry Venezuelans. This would have been a nightmare and become a legal means to funnel all of central America into the Untied States. Florida is already becoming a dumping ground for Puerto Rico, so by the time President Clinton would be done, it'd be a weird mash of white, black and every single nation of Latin America in Florida.

Thankfully, we do not have a President Clinton. Still, the potential argument and issue is there. We must say no. If private individuals and groups, want to send food, send supplies, and send medicine, fine, but not a single Venezuelan should come to our shores. Let the Venezuelans sort it out. Venezuela is a far more likely future for America than simply Mexico or South Africa. While the conservakin and normiecons do not see the edge like we do, allow them to use Venezuela as a harbinger of things to come provided we stay on our left flowing current.

Weimerica Weekly - All Sides Blackpilling

New Weimerica Weekly is up. Everyone on all sides is blackpilling. Not just the hardest of right wing Trump supporters but people in the middle and even on the left. This is part of the decline. I advise one not to give into blackpilling but to recognize the dark road ahead no matter who is in charge.

Future White Progressive Suicides

There were fears 2017 would not deliver. It has. The insanity continues. The Left will not take a moment to be self-reflective or introspective. They do not do that. Especially now when they feel so close to total victory. The white progressives continue to deliver with the insane hot takes or emoting over any odd, alien person or cultural tidbit. This will continue until we hit the phase of the cycle with white progressive suicides.

There is a feeling a religious revival of some sorts will hit in the 2020s. This might just be all pieces searching for some answer to the emptiness of McWorld. If it is, one outlet will be in the pieces of the West that make up the anti-West, anti-white voter coalition ginning themselves up even more in their anger and frustration. Not just at whites but with the lack of satisfaction in life despite having power or an elite supposedly acting on their behalf. White progs are in a bind.

Some will disappear into hedonism or technology. Others will melt in if they do marry or have kids. That is a signal already out in the open from them, and it does signal self-annihilation. They will take this one step further. Their search for status and holiness points will push them towards a cycle of suicide. White progs will kill themselves in the name of equality to wipe away white guilt. It will be their act of destroying white supremacy and the legacy of white racism.

If this sounds odd, keep in mind this appeals to many different needs these white progs have. This hits the religion need with both the creation of a ritual and sacrifice. This also allows them to become the star of the play, so their narcissism gets a boost. All focus is on them for the act. Make no mistake this will become a performance art. They lack creativity or talent, but they can make up for it with one hell of a suicide.

Think of the target demographic in question. Think of the childless whites hitting late 30s now. What will they do in 10-15 years in their late 40s-50s when sex peak has passed and they are old? What do they have? Nothing. The rhetoric of antiwhite crap will be ratcheted up from the Left which will add value to doing this and they have no heirs. They can leave anything to nonwhite charities as a transfer of wealth.

How? This could be like the self-immolation of Buddhist monks to protest Vietnam, but that is too awful for the progs. Some will turn it into a play of sorts as they discuss their lives and what they are giving it up for with proper non-white props. It would give them the chance to see who would attend their funeral. Think even more narcissistic. They will use hemlock.

Hemlock gives them the chance of the slow death to pontificate when they think people will be absolutely listening for any gem of wisdom, for their inane stories and for their cares. What is tweeting, Facebook posting and random virtue signaling if not a grasp at some attention? Suicide in the name of progress for the abolition of the white race will be their final post, their final tweet, their final periscope, and the good riddance of the most delusional and insane branch of the European family.

May they bury the enlightenment with them.

Social Matter - It’s Not Spontaneous Youth Radicalization, It’s Prison Culture

New essay is up at Social Matter. This one attempts to answer why the youth are radicalizing and where we see this same tribalism take shape. Progs have created a situation and once again, act surprised that the people placed in it react as humans naturally do. The denial of reality is horrible, but the worse denial is that of basic human nature.

Others Get It + SM Review-Preview 90

Charles Hugh-Smith has an essay that Zero Hedge published that really hits the nail on the head about what is going on in the West. It is disintegrating. Immigration adds to it. Multiculturalism adds to it. Even if they continue to pour in more and more people from a variety of places, the fragmentation will only accelerate. Hugh-Smith is right there. He is very close to us but does not take the last step in his writing.

He and Peter Turchin have many good points. Charles Hugh-Smith sees sickcare for what it is, a jobs racket and rent-seeking endeavor. He sees the parasitic elite detached from the population it supposedly guides. He knows. He sees how the center cannot hold. He sees how centralization is now at the negative returns stage. He points out that centralization's effects are now all negative, and the positives are sequestered away to the very few. Eventually, the social effects will become too much to endure.

The tech is there for greater centralization but it is there for decentralization as well. Each element of tech that adds to greater centralized control can be equally applied for decentralization if people coordinate to value decentralizing. Nick Land has written about the democratization of massive violence as adding to decentralization. This applies to many other capabilities.

How many people want to be a tiny fish in a giant, fetid pond? The elite count on you not just tolerating that but wanting that, craving the chance for that.

Spend some time reading Charles Hugh-Smith's essay and his other work. It is worth it.

--------------------------------------

Last week I wrote on how rebellions fail or succeed if they have elite factions supporting them. England saw two similar attempts, with one succeeding, so the story was why? Elites need to feel threatened and feel that they have something to gain with the rebels. Weimerica Weekly was on the Chinese critique of the white left (baizuo).

This week I will write on the spread of prison culture, and how our culture is sliding towards it not just from the police state assembled but population-wise. Weimerica Weekly will touch on the blackpilling, which allows me to discuss what the first 100 days or so of Clinton's presidency would've looked like.

WW1 - The Last Message

This is "The Last Message" by Fortunino Matania in 1917. Matania was a celebrated artist with a huge career after the war. He had the ability to fill a canvas with emotion, which fits perfectly with the war that mortally wounded a continent.

Male Infidelity Will Collapse With VR Sex + Sex Robots

Did you see the Harmony sex robot picture? It was tweeted out and went viral. Not just viral in our realm of the Internet but wider. The fear from ladies was thick enough you could spread it on a bagel. The robot looked real, so the only question was a realistic facsimile of movement.

This is not the only development in sex tech I have seen. A really weird picture was sent my way. It was the marketing graphic which was of a well built man enjoying a set of VR goggles but also with a weird fleshlights looking thing on his groin. I was informed that it was an advertisement for the coming VR porn goggles synched with a fleshlight that mimics the action that the VR movie is providing the point-of-view (POV) scene viewer.

I have heard this called teledildonics. The program allows for a performer to 'work' a dildo that has sensors on it, and then you the end user place a fleshlight type device onto your member and her actions then send signals to the fleshlight to mimic her actions. Same for female users, and even an easier concept as it'd be a programmed and synched vibrator to the video. It is crude now, but wait five years.

The Heartiste Robosexual apocalypse approaches, but there may be one pro-social outcome. I am surprised he did not even consider it, but he is a single man so it is hard to step out of one's shoes. Yes, alphas (soft and hard alphas) will be able to accumulate harems (soft and hard in arrangement) as the deltas and omegas remove themselves from the dating market. Women may feel the heat and improve their resume for finding a mate if they value human contact and want to raise children with a man who is the father. The one positive that may occur could be a massive collapse in male infidelity (not female).

Roughly 20% of married men cheat. Surveys show roughly 15% of married women cheat. This often leads to divorce, but sometimes it does not as the person is never caught. Sometimes it does not because the betrayed tolerates it. Surveys also show that far more men who cheat are happy in their marriage than women who cheat are. Men just love to spread the genes. It's one bit of diversity we love (vagina diversity). Sex robots and tactile VR will drop that to zero by satisfying it without breaking the sanctity of marriage.

There is the legal and financial issue. Who would risk divorce to cheat with a real woman if a robot or VR simulator is available? No one unless they want to get caught and divorce or are dumb. Why risk the diseases out there? This will only spike if the antibiotic resistant STDs arrive and spread fast. Why risk the false rape accusations? Why even bother with having to develop a potential? That is some hard work. Why put in the effort for a 7 in contracts when you can have Salma Hayek 1999-bot at home?

Few think of the celebrity, model or Instathot licensing, but that will happen. It will be an easy way for robot producers to sell to a guaranteed market. These would be renewable licenses too in case people change their look, improve or decline. Some people could even license a specific look of theirs (Like a Prayer Madonna vs Like a Virgin Maddona). Celebrity visibility then sells each bot. It is a way for the celebrities to also make more money off of themselves. This goes double or triple for has-beens or older figures as one can imagine the Marilyn Monroe 1953-bot would sell well. If you think no one would invest in the creation of sex robots, imagine the money that would underwrite the production of them when they know they can sell Kate Uptons with an exclusive license.

"But Ryan there's an emotional or chemistry element to it... while we're not chicks with their lame emotional affairs, there is the point of knowing someone." Think. Do not think of a robot this time. The VR programs will be where this comes in. This is where you'd say to the program, "Hello SexSim, yeah can you go to my LinkedIn... take Ashley Duvan, map her hair and face onto the body of Olivia Newton John from 1979 in the Xanadu all white outfit".

Boom, you are getting freaky with a 7 from accounting except now with a better body. You've dressed her up and even run a Holodeck situation for whatever you're thinking. The social media sharing of today would mean a SexSim program would merely have to comb a woman's account to not only get imagery but basic movements, ticks, mannerisms and even voice to make the experience even more realistic. Like the Tyrell Corporation in Blade Runner selling their replicants as more human than human, these VR modules offer you the chance to conjure up reality. With your personal touches, it's realer than real. It becomes a perfect moment.

This is a bit frightening and I will not combine this with the news of the bag that grew a lamb embryo, so artificial wombs are closer than we think. With small sons, I have to contemplate the idea that my 25 year old son could tell me how a CRISPR designed male heir is at month four in the arti-womb, providing him with his first born for him and Renee-bot421. The fear would be that it is superior to the females out there for him to build a life with. Some horror stories do not need jump scenes or scare panels.

That scene may not happen, but this collapse in infidelity will happen if these two consumer products hit the market. Men will embrace it. Married men will enjoy it. The progressive legal system is only going to tilt more in favor of hysterical women. The women entering the dating pool at age 18 or 22 will be leaving an education and propaganda system that tells them that sex is empowering but almost all sexual contact is rape, some years later even if you did not think it rape at the time.

People create parallel institutions. People homeschool to avoid propaganda and security issues. Demand will be there, and only a fool will risk entering the prog legal system when a robot or VR facsimile experience is there.

Weimerica Weekly - Baizuo, the Chinese Critique Of The Left

New Weimerica Weekly is up. This one was on the fly but is about this Chinese duo of terms baizuo and shengmu. While this is just an online phenomenon in China, so probably small, it is nice to see that some others outside the West see what is going on with the West. I mention a possible strategy China could engage in that I mentioned a couple weeks ago here at the home blog with China and North Korea. At the end, I plug the LD50 Frogtwitter exhibit.

The Lesbian Who Molded Dietrich

I often say we are an echo of Weimar Germany. Weimerica is not a repeat and not merely similar. The echo is a fainter and worse version of the original sound. An echo is a trick of the structure that the sound is originally made in. Our current situation is partly structural. Same molders that worked in Germany work here in America now.

The same crass desires are served. The same roles are played. This is what makes us weaker, worse and unoriginal. This is the hollow, tired feeling to our era. The idea of homosexual as an identity had its start and its first big push in Berlin. Sadly, many of the same, worn out looks of the LGBT crowd are straight from Weimar Berlin.

Think of the cliché lesbian. ugly and chubby... wears men's clothes... loud, harsh and rough... pushes her lifestyle on others... political. Your mind has conjured up Claire Waldoff. Claire Waldoff was a short, ugly and chubby lesbian that had a radio show and worked the stage in the Weimar era. Waldoff was open and in your face about who and what she was. She was often in men's clothing, working that tie and pants look with suspenders like a good Berlin businessman.

Waldoff was also an evangelical lesbian. She was connected to the artist circle and recommended all women to become lesbians. It would be a statement! We can see with the benefit of hindsight it was a mating strategy of just expanding her potential partner pool. Same thing happens on college campuses today. Waldoff was, of course, connected to the communists in the '20s, but this comes with a qualifier. She even worked with the Nazis once they came to power. Like a modern lesbian, she was a true coward in the face of pushback.

Waldoff has a special connection to us though. Waldoff's style and persona influence us even today. Besides the lesbians aping men with their putting on a uniform, she has a deeper connection. Waldoff knew and befriended Marlene Dietrich. They went beyond friends and Dietrich admitted to being intimate with Waldoff. Dietrich would be a giant star and fashion icon of the golden age of cinema. Dietrich does not become Dietrich without Waldoff.

Dietrich stole the entire menswear ensemble from Waldoff. The difference was Dietrich did it on occasion, and while playing with androgyny was still feminine. With her legs and svelte figure in a sporty cut of shirt or pants, Dietrich did not look like a fat grocer on a wholesaler pricing visit, but she looked like a sexy woman of mystery.

Dietrich was a vamp not just because of her foreign accent but her peculiar style. Katherine Hepburn might have worn pants, but was not considered sexy or striking sensuous lines in them. Dietrich did. Dietrich's effect plays with us today whenever a sexy pop figure tries this. Madonna employed it liberally in one of her image reboots, sorry two. The video of Vogue may well have been a Dietrich update for 1990.

Without that specific playful androgyny, Dietrich is just another pretty face of the glamorous age of cinema. Without Dietrich's beauty, the style falls flat like Diane Keaton's Annie Hall look. Without Dietrich's legacy, it's a look that no one would try to retread. It is the possibility of a smoldering beauty carrying off the lines and the collars, but none of it is possible if not for one little ugly lesbian in Berlin.

Social Matter - Elites Determine If A Rebellion Becomes A Revolution

New essay up at Social Matter. This essay covers the chatter of potential civil conflict in America or France. Yes, the situation on the ground looks tense. Yes, the security is eroding, but what elites are threatened? This is important, and I use an historical example for showing how rebellions fail and revolutions succeed even when the pieces look nearly the same.

Comey 2017 + SM Review-Preview 89

You might have been worried 2017 would not live up to 2016, but you were wrong. Nick Land was right. It is only going to continue and speed up. Look at the FBI Director Jim Comey being fired out of nowhere. 2017!

Comey recently stated that people were stuck with him for another six and a half years. Poof! Gone. How did no one see this coming? For all the talk about Trump's leaking White House or administration, how did this not get out? Leaks by USG employees is one thing, and honestly, it is their sabotaging of the warlord chieftain who has usurped the throne. This did not leak at all. No one saw this coming. In fact, many thought that since Comey had made it beyond 100 days that he was safe.

Look beyond the firing though and listen to the deeper issue. Both sides want to jail the other. It's following the classic left-right patterns of justifications. The right wants Clinton jailed for crimes and to investigate Team Obama for potential spying infractions that are actual laws. The left has created a mythical boogeyman of Trump-Russia collusion that they equate to treason in some Keyser Soze fever dream.

This is the state of things from here on out. The nominal right will appeal to law and hope just hope that their opponents will finally see jail time that they deserve. The nominal left will keep pitching their conspiracy theories for why their opponents should be gulaged and murdered jailed. This asymmetry is the same as the idea that the right believes they can reason with the left and just sort it out with elections and politics, maybe even secession, while the left's academic crowd figures out convoluted ways to pitch the genociding of entire peoples.

This will only continue, so unplug from time to time, hold your loved ones and watch the rivers flow and feel the breeze run through your hair.

---------------------

Last week I wrote on the way that the Left could formalize their destruction of free speech in our laws. As a Middle Eastern businessman once told me, "I can't say anything bad about Allah but you can't utter the truth about blacks while I can, so who is free". He was a Syrian Christian and fervent Assad supporter during this Civil War. Weimerica Weekly was on the rise of superhero movies.

I'll write this week on civil conflicts and why some spark and succeed. Weimerica Weekly might touch on the blackpilling everywhere from everyone.

WW1 - Engineers

Who will remember these mundane things if we do not?

The scale of war changed dramatically for Europeans with the Great War. This meant not just soldiers but large crews of engineering units. The past did have engineers that devised siege weapons or maintain Greek Fire, but the Great War boosted the scale. Who would rebuild bombed out bridges? Who would clear the destroyed trees? Who would refurbish enemy guns destroyed or simply move them back to melt down for reuse of the metal? I enjoy the nickname for America's version of engineering battalions, the Seabees. They will never disappear. Industrialized war will need massive units of engineers.

28sherman on Red Ice Radio

Henrik at Red Ice had me on as a guest again. We talked about the escalation of political fighting in America to suddenly reaching road war status. Maybe not road war, but the street fighting and expectation of fighting has begun. I do not know what he edited it down to, but it was a nice long chat. I hope you enjoy.

A Shakedown Of Elon Musk

Lawfare is a potent weapon. It is not just used against corporations or broader groups, but against individuals as well. If billionaires can be weaponized, then billionaires can be targets. Regardless of what one thinks of Elon Musk, it is easy to see that he is not just a billionaire, an industrialist but also a symbol. Musk has carefully cultivated an image, and hits every note that the 'in crowd' would want in a tech leader. It also makes him a target if he steps off the reservation.

Musk has done so, and is now a target. Musk even just listening to President Trump is a problem. Musk is now the target of a multimillion dollar campaign to split Musk from Trump. The man behind the campaign is Doug Derwin, a tech investor with a degree from (you guessed it) Harvard law School. The crime that Musk committed was not openly voicing displeasure with Trump. This is a high on high fight to discourage anyone else from getting ideas about supporting Trump. If no one of high status can support or even cooperate with him, then no one low will venture out to do so either.

It does not stop there. Musk's firm Tesla is now facing a discrimination lawsuit. The media immediately sided with the plaintiff, not just in reporting it but how they framed it. A progressive voter coalition member (black male) that enjoys protection under the government did not like how things were going for him and filed a lawsuit. This getting media attention smears Tesla and makes Musk, the Tony Stark leadership figure, look like a bad guy. Think of the messaging: Musk is a straight white male in charge of a viciously racist firm. All of those years as the future of green auto manufacturing goes out the window.

The discussion of these lawsuits, which even at first glance of statements look ridiculous, applies pressure to individuals and corporations. No one wants bad press. no one with such a high profile wants bad press. This is the power of propaganda that the media has, and by extension the Left holds as it is firmly entrenched in the media, academia, bureaucracy and judiciary.

This is a joke, but so are these lawsuits in general. What they are is a means for the High on the Left to reward their foot soldiers that make up their voting power Low with favorable employment and the potential to hit a lawsuit jackpot. Sometimes they can even receive class action lawsuit payouts where they do not do anything but simply exist as the proper demographic. The Left has in effect weaponized each individual group it claims to represent by enshrining in the legal system favorable terms. Musk is now a target and these weapons will be used against him.

Stop to consider the changing nature of sexual harassment claims. It was sold as no one should have to provide sex to keep their job. Then it was inappropriate comments and simply being asked out by a guy she did not like (Clarence Thomas anyone?). The goalposts have shifted so much now that it is merely if they do not get promoted fast enough (Tesla's suit) or a far more ridiculous defining down: environment. A woman does not have to be the target of any comment or pressure to file a complaint or lawsuits, merely know of it and then made uncomfortable.

Tesla is 85% male and 15% female. SpaceX is 88% male and 12% female. Even with these low female percentages, Musk still runs into problems from lawsuit filers. Musk's companies can then be told they are not pro-female enough, forcing him to create space for female employees. The core problem lies in the progs denial of reality. One can only hire what one can find. How many females are in STEM? How many graduate in those fields/ How many want those jobs? How many are better candidates than male candidates?

This applies to all groups the progs claim to protect. This makes their ability to file lawsuits and wreck havoc as another means to bend even the wealthiest individuals and corporations to progressive needs.

Weimerica Weekly - Superhero Escapism

New Weimerica Weekly is up. This one covers the rise of superhero movies. It is a combination of technology, an industry lacking creativity and pushing merchandise. Disney is evil at times but is really brilliant like their purchase of Marvel.

P.T. Carlo Is Right About Trad Dads

Several readers and Twitter folks have asked if I read P.T. Carlo's blog post "Against Trad Dads". I did. I recommend reading Thermidor for original content. Carlo is right. The tone is a negative, but the core message is right. These Trad Dads have a habit of using family formation as a solution to all of life's problems, and fail to recognize the reality of the sexual marketplace as it stands today.

It is an incredibly difficult dating market. It is incredibly difficult to find someone who openly buys into forming a family. Marriage and parenthood are great things and good goals for the greater good. They are not for everyone, man or woman. My message for years has been: figure out your path and then walk it full power. Trad Dads are trying to fight the good fight in an age of decay.

Carlo's point about the evangelical nature of some Trad Dads is spot on. I won't comment or even defend the bad Trad Dads like the Dreher types. Thermidor's picking on Dreher has reached epic proportions and is thoroughly enjoyable. Trad Dad evangelicism is as annoying as the evangelical segment of any group. Attempting to be more traditional in how one forms a household is difficult in this day and age. I do not know if I count as a trad dad, but my goal is a home where dad provides, mom focuses on family, mom and dad raise the kids and the kids grow up with a healthy home of men being men, women being women and we all pray to Jesus Christ at a local Catholic Church. I live in a red state, which makes this far more normal than those with blue state blues.

I am fully aware of our degenerate culture. Look at the blog posts I have made about cartoons, television shows and whatnot. That is me actively monitoring cultural products and warning you. A dad can only do so much and prepare his kids so much because they will end up jumping out of the plane like a paratrooper into the wider world. Trad Dads are trying to be protective because they are all products of their age and recognize how awful our society has become. It's an attempt to carve out a bit of safety to even just jump back to a 1980s environment for raising their kids. Not fully 1980s, as these dads don't want their wives working to avoid the daycare or latchkey outcome.

I personally think some of these Trad Dads are faking things. I'm a dad, and if you meet me, the guy you meet is the guy I am at home. My wife and I agreed on going beyond two children because we wanted to, and trust me, as we contemplate anymore we recognize our goals and focus are out of whack with broader society. I mentioned to my parents that we were considering a fourth. My mom was surprised and seemed pleased. My dad's first words with accompanying pained, whiner look was, "Why would you do that?" Breaking a kid down to the cost-benefit analysis was horribly disappointing to hear but revealed that his orientation is around money (small souled bug man). Ours is not. My wife and I are different from our peers from our home blue state. We are fully cognizant of this circumstance of Weimerica.

With that said, how are Trad Dads forming and crafting a home? Tradition was so obliterated by the 20th century progressive mandarins that one ends up creating a cargo cult type tradition in one's home of things you heard worked. I've been pushing for a while now for people to push back, create traditions and resurrect old rituals and traditions into one's homelife. Think about that for one second though. Many people do not know the old traditions automatically. This leads many to just default to 'build a family and try to make enough money for your wife to stay at home with the kids'.

A family now is a rebellion in this modern age. Having a family beyond 1.4 kids in a blue state is a revolution. As /pol even pointed out, how did wanting a decent life with a wife and kids become reactionary? Carlo's essay has great points, and I am stunned how the Houellebecq character Bruno truly has become a male avatar for the crystallization that this is a rapidly changing time that offers little in stability or even a desire for linking to the past or future.

Carlo's tone was a bit more black pill and negative than it had to be. Someone in our sphere asked me about having kids and I said, "It's awesome. It's not the affection or hugs and kisses sweetness of kids but the discovery of life. When a kid starts thinking and getting the world, it's amazing. It's the gift of experiencing life." Yes, the world is an increasingly dark place. That does not have to stop you from seeking things to bring you happiness and make your immediate world a better place. It's like laughing at childless white nationalists that come up with depressing reasons to not have kids. Weird since Europeans had children through the Black Plague, Hun invasions, Muslim invasions, Thirty Years War, Hundred Years War and World Wars.

If you want to change a Trad Dad, if you want to stop the evangelical nature or teasing at the single men around him, start hitting him with the reality of dating. Throw it in his face about what women who go through the college Marxist indoctrination system are like. Show him the texts you receive from women. Shake his cage. Challenge him as you would challenge a prog, but with a different ending, ask him for a plan. Ask him, "how am I suppose to get from here to there?"

Social Matter - The Future Formalization Of Speech Restrictions

New essay up at Social Matter. This one walks through the long term narrative the Left has been building and fostering to lead up to speech restrictions. This is mere formalization of what we all know to be true already. Piece together what the Left talks about in their campus lunacy, and one can see where this is going.

Daily Caller Appearance + SM Review-Preview 88

With the emergence of street fights, I felt it was time to try to seed the Weimerica meme elsewhere. The Daily Caller was generous in allowing me space to write about the Weimar-Weimerica parallels, albeit in a toned down manner. This can introduce the idea to normies and name that national feeling that they can all see.

Street fighting is a deeper step into the idea. It's not like the attacks on Trump supporters in 2016. This is both sides expecting battle. After playing it neutral, which meant siding with the antifa, the Berkeley cops decided to unmask the antifa at the latest Berkeley meet up. They scattered. Escalation and optics matter so it is possible the Left's elite know a bunch of black clad masked people attacking nationalists (male and female) in red, white and blue looks awful and affects the middle.

I've noticed the Damigo-Moldylocks punch is sitting odd with some people. It's not just the acceptance that a young woman is bringing gear to a protest to 'scalp Nazis' or that we support a man defending himself by knocking out a dainty woman that attacked him. It's this sick system.

Damigo enters the Marines, serves in an imperial war of choice and comes home to a state swamped with Mexicans and other assorted Third Worlders. He starts up a nationalist-identitarian group for young men while on disability from his service. Moldlocks goes to college, runs through the Marxist indoctrination and then is an online porn girl who shows up to political rallies in support of Big Biz and Third Worldist Marxism.

It's hitting some because of the perversion of it all. Not sexual but what we idealize America as a possibility versus our sick reality. Look at Damigo and look at 18 year of Moldylocks before college got to her. Consider a different path and serendipitous meet-up. Like in a classic American movie, that is the young, California native that enters the military to fight in WW2 for the survival of America and freedom and comes back to a home he recognizes that welcomes him and by chance meets and marries young Moldlocks, the cute blonde girl from SoCal. Films were made exactly like that.

We don't have that. We have the Damigo-Moldylocks connection. It's not love but violence. It's not a happily ever after but a what comes next. We can't affect the high elite, but we can push back on the low culture. Build your networks, encourage positive behavior, be a lighthouse for people sick of this clown world. It's a broken down circus, so show people the path to the exits.

Last week I covered how a cabal of advisors pulled Marine LePen left on economics and missed the opportunity to frame the entire election as a referendum on immigration. Weimerica Weekly covered the idea of identity shopping.

This week I will explain how the Left can use their supermajority in California and their control of academia to get rid of the freedom of speech without federal legislation. Weimerica Weekly might be on real estate. I've got a series of tips for stuff to cover.

Renegotiating NAFTA

President Trump announced last week that NAFTA was going to be renegotiated. The blackpill brigade on Twitter went into "Oh no, he he promised he he said NAFTA would go away, what a betrayal" mode. Regular people recall his campaign rhetoric and Trump went from let's leave NAFTA to let's negotiate a better deal to simply complaining about NAFTA. This is a great step that offers opportunities for American workers with some distant clouds of danger.

NAFTA was a bipartisan effort to benefit capital over the average worker. Sold as a way for American goods to be sold cheaper in Canada and Mexico, it really was a way for American capital to invest in Canada and Mexico to skirt American environmental regulations and standards of living. It was another example of former President Clinton pulling the Democrats under the FIRE economy's thumb and away from its old labor ties. The only public figure at the time against it seemed to be Ross Perot with his patriotic sense of noblesse oblige.

It took nearly 25 years and another version of Perot to win the presidency in order to even consider renegotiating NAFTA. Former president Obama flirted with it on the campaign trail in 2008. The current system said, "Sorry kid, can't mess with the good sheep shearing business we have going". The opportunity here is that America can renegotiate for more favorable terms for the people that came out for Trump in the upper Midwest on the hopes that some decent jobs that do not require thousands in college debt would return.

This is prime time to hold Mexico over the barrel. Is Mexico a straight up failed state, a narco-state or a muddling state of great potential? It is hard to tell but failed state looks more appropriate. It is bad enough when the leadership in Mexico openly threatens to unleash the cartels if President Trump were to push forward with all his border promises. Note that even Playa Del Carmen is seeing cartel massacres and violence now, and that was the final vacation hot spot that was free of cartel violence. Safety and security is that bad in Mexico even in those lush spots.

The danger is that the Kushnerites and Goldman crowd renegotiates NAFTA and inserts a bunch of TPP style provisions and screws American workers over. It would be a renegotiation that shifts the terms even more in capital's favor. There is a chance the Kushner wing is this incredibly stupid, but if re-election depends on the Big 10 Sailer strategy, then they will feed the manufacturing spots of the Midwest with red meat. All of Trump's meetings with union heads since the election have probably focused on this. If labor unions have been screwed by the Democrats since the Clinton admin, they may be far more open to a nominal Republican's promises.

The media should be asking why it took this long for any president to consider renegotiating NAFTA. Why did not W renegotiate it after a decade of seeing the adverse effects and why did Obama fail to address it after a decade of supposedly fighting for the working class? We know why. The entire pundit class was supportive of free flow of capital and labor, which means capital since labor has a harder time moving. Academia churned out reports stating free trade helped by 1% or added 100,000 jobs. Academics could not be pinned down by inquiring journalists (on the same ideological team) where the jobs were gained and where they were lost. Lost in this were the detrimental effects not just in employment but in entire communities as plants closed.

For the blackpillers out there, to consider America ending NAFTA entirely was a pipe dream. Trade agreements between the three nations existed prior to NAFTA. NAFTA was a consolidation of them as well as an acceleration. Mexico had to realize this was coming someday unless America formally annexed Mexico. At the rate of Mexicanization of America, this might have been 2025 had Clinton won.

Trump threatening to pull out of NAFTA is so fear inducing because he was such a wild card that Mexico will consider any renegotiations as a best alternative to America leaving. This negotiation tactic is jumping so far outside the window of normal to drag the other partner closer to your intended landing point. A classic example is a man continuously hinting at eloping, and then when proposing says 'let's elope', forcing the woman to then negotiate up from 0 for guests as a compromise. Had the man said "100 guest wedding" when the woman wanted 200, the negotiations start from 100 on up.

Pull the blackpill IV out for one moment and wait to see the results of negotiations. If NAFTA becomes worse, then chug the blackpill nectar. Until then, keep fighting the culture war online and in your communities. You will not be in the NAFTA renegotiations room, but you can be the lighthouse for normies and regular people to slowly push back on the prog dominated culture we live in.

Stripmining Education

Last fall, I wrote on the futile way foundations fund education at Social Matter. Because admitting that the achievement gap has a genetic basis is verboten, education officials, parents and municipalities will listen to The Music Man style pitches from private foundations. What has happened is that education, especially on taxpayer dime in our awful urban school, is nothing but a cash cow for private firms that have an army of consultants, advisors and salesmen for the newest system that will boost scores and close that immovable gap.

Chicago recently witnessed sentencing for a scandal that exemplifies this insanity and the mega-millions involves. The Chicago Public Schools CEO was sentenced to years in jail for corruption involving millions in school contracts. This is after the man who ran the firm that bribed her was sentenced to seven years in jail as well. If you read up on what SUPES Academy did for services and combine it with how its owner Gary Solomon was busted, you see the scam my Social Matter post was hinting at with conflicts of interest.

SUPES was created by Solomon after he was a dean at a school. He left under allegations of misconduct of a sexual nature. After his departure, he worked for the Princeton Review. AFter understanding the education racket from the private side, Solomon then attacked in roughly the same manner that my Social Matter article laid out: educating school administrators and leaders.

SUPES had a superintendent certification program, and was the only firm to have one in America, a monopoly marketing point. Problem is that states do have their own programs. SUPES had a roster of administrators that came through its training program and also placed SUPES graduates elsewhere. In this corruption scandal in Chicago with Byrd-Bennett (68 year old black female), the scam is revealed.

Ms. Byrd-Bennett was a SUPES employee until April 2012, when she was brought into the CPS. Magically after October of 2012, SUPES received three contracts worth a combined $4.2 million and then the whopper which was a no bid $20 million contract for investing in academic leadership. The bribery gets involved in an old fashioned way that would have made the machine pols of the early 20th century proud. It was a money honest system that went blurry.

Byrd-Bennett had lavish treatment by SUPES while CEO of CPS, and these were gifts of sorts but the killer was the kickback. The CEO of CPS was promised a plum job after she resigned from her CPS position in exchange for guiding the contracts to SUPES. For a promise of a six figure job in the future, SUPES was collecting millions in government contracts.

Educating superintendents and principals is not going to boost scores. This is stripmining education for the surface gain of hucksters and the owners of these snake oil salesmen. SUPES was just caught and more blatant about it because hey, it's Chicago. Broad Foundation and the Gates crew all act in this manner. Educators and administrators go through the revolving door from the training to the schools back to the training all the while hiring their classmates and making sure the foundation programs get enacted for a price.

Like McDonald's going downmarket and accepting EBT, therefore turning the underclass into a money conduit to help its bottom line, these foundations are a racket to milk the education system run by officials that desperately want to say they are doing something, anything, to boost the scores of underclass children. This wastes millions as our education system wastes billions trying to fix the unfixable.

No one cares though because they want the magic elixir to close the gap.

Social Matter - National Front's Missed Golden Opportunity

New essay up at Social Matter. I cover the golden opportunity that was presented LePen with this year's election and how advisors going back to 2012 pulled her leftward, ruining the framing for this year. As Americans that voted for Trump are upset about the Kushner + Goldman crowd pulling Trump in an odd direction, LePen had a cabal of advisors pull her to the left. All it takes is one advisor placed high enough for the entire game to change.

No one wants Houellebecq's Submission to happen not because it is horrific, it is, but because the Islamization of France would not have an end result as portrayed in the book. Beirut was once called the Paris of the Middle East. No one wants to see Paris become the Beirut of Europe.

Law & Order FOX News + SM Review-Preview 87

I have some family visiting. This means network television airs after the kids are put to bed and my parents have to watch a show. For five nights, there was no television, but Law and Order SVU was on and my folks could NOT MISS THAT. How terrible is network television?

- Production quality is a weird mash up of naturally lit street scenes and then soap opera level lit interior shots. Whereas old L&O courtroom scenes could use a set that seemed to be real with real lighting, the scenes now look like a daytime soap opera. This works though for what the show is.

- This is pure propaganda. This week's specific episode was a fictional account of the Roger Ailes FOX News scandal. Even Vanity Fair commented on the tidy way it was resolved.

-To tackle the issue of sexual predators, L&O used the Ailes storyline for the big bad boogeyman of an old white male. Who played him? The guy who was Shooter McGavin from Happy Gilmore who has played competent, wealthy white male assholes for Hollywood for decades now going back to Breakin'. Hollywood couldn't possibly make the antagonist look normal, gotta be generic a-hole.

- The accuser is a Megan Kelly stand in more than the Ailes accuser but they steal straight from her accusations. She wears a uniform, the male videotapes her, and of course the consent line is blurred.

- An interesting sequence was a series of close up interviews spliced where women came forward to discuss how they wer videotaped by the Ailes figure. It looked like one of those 'anti-sexual assault, say something' advertisements. As part of the show, it was weird as the context of being a show was broken as the video testimony appeared as if a straight message to the viewer. The women covered the ethnicity and age spectrum, so the rah-rah come forward messaging was clear.

- One woman betrays the sisterhood and testifies positively about Ailes. She was bought off, see, and she played ball, see, yeah, see it's a bad gig. There's a 'how could you' scene, and then you know what.... that woman then goes state evidence and wears a camera and wire to take Ailes/Shooter down.

- Even better is how the cast of characters is littered with familiar faces, so there's a nice pipeline for actors who don't make it huge to still get work with these long running procedurals. Mad Men had two alums on this episode with 'Jane, the hot second wife of Roger Stirling' as the conflicted traitor of the sisterhood and Duck from Mad Men as an on-air host.

- How pozzed is TV and how dominant are the progs with their ideology? The lead testifies that the accuser was acting like she was TRIGGERED in a clip like a victim would be. Duck says he can't come forward and testify against Ailes/Shooter because AILES HAS TROLLS PAID FOR AND TROLLS HAVE INFO ON DUCK'S DAUGHTER'S JUVIE RECORD.

-This is not the most 'come on eye roll' moment. At the end, after the accuser has her money, what does she do with it? She says, heh maybe I'll write a tell all but in the meantime I used this cash for this center for empowering teenage girls.

Network TV is beyond trash. Hollywood delenda est.

Last week I wrote on how SWPL culture acts as a protective moat for the urban white youth of American cities. They can't seek segregation, so they have to create segregation via interests. Weimerica Weekly discussed the drive to find a Beige Bernie. There is a possibility that the Democrats see a Chavez before a Beige Bernie in the '20s.

This week I will cover the change in the FN of France as the election run off approaches that pulled it to the left, making the far right label ridiculous, but also screwing with the potential for framing the election the way Brexit or Trump's team did. Weimerica Weekly might be on medicine. I've received a bunch of tips on odd items so I may do a faux Weimerica News broadcast.

Not Ready For Primetime Progressives

Former president Barack Obama had waited a whole three months before uttering a first public statement. Definitely quicker than prior presidents but this transition was not normal. The firing back and forth between the outgoing and incoming administrations is unprecedented for focus on treason, law breaking and legitimacy. Obama's reappearance is not just his narcissism on display. This reflects the Left's empty bench.

We are in the invisible primary period for the 2020 election. It is disgusting to consider this never-ending grind of elections, but the first two years after any election have been named this as a feeling out period for politicians in their own party. There are revelations in how the immediate post-election actions played out, but also in the problem on the Left right now.

The Left has no ready for primetime players. From November 2016 to present, every Democrat had the opportunity to pick up a progressive standard and make a name for him or herself. Look at votes for cabinet members or even certifying the election results. There was obvious grandstanding by Liz Warren and Cory Booker. New senator Kamala Harris even made a fool of herself with some comments. The problem is that the broad and diverse Democrat coalition limits how a candidate can make a broad appeal. A generic white male like Joe Biden is untenable for a national campaign for the Left. It is questionable if a generic white female would be tenable (I think it is still).

As I said in this week's podcast, the hunt is for the beige Bernie. I have been calling for this since the Democrat primaries started. A beige Bernie or even just a younger Bernie would've clobbered Clinton so hard that the elite would have hitched its wagon to him or her and dumped Clinton for a second time. After all, what is Obama but a beige Bernie himself? This is the Left's task. Right now, the cupboard is bare.

Some of this is simply the Democrats being destroyed in statewide elections from 2009 to 2016. They lost continuously, and even in a supposed anti-incumbent cycle, they could not knock off some GOP governors in swing states. This hurts the pipeline. Failing to unseat Kasich, Snyder, and especially Scott in Florida were not just losses but losses that prevented figures from using a large state as a springboard for national attention.

The GOP found itself in a similar spot in 2012 because of the 2006 and 2008 wipeouts. Look at the swings in Ohio's gubernatorial elections to see how both parties were screwed by wipeout years (D 2006 wave, Tea party 2010 wave). The 2012 election posed another problem for the GOP because so many of its talented potentials were just elected in 2010. What remained were harder right or more niche right candidates. This is similar to what the Democrats face now. Those who are around now on their bench are the harder left characters from deep blue states.

One thing in these not ready characters' defense for not stepping into the spotlight is the 'stolen election' meme and the attempt to screw with recounts and the electoral college. This is all going to end someday, and one major factor is going to be the Democrats fiddling with the electoral college. Suddenly, 270 is not the needed count. This is dangerous. Because that was a goal, Democrats hoping to differentiate themselves could not be self-reflective or self-critical about what the Democrats did in 2016. None of them could take the Bernie campaign message and run with it because it would admit Clinton royally screwed up by not using it.

This is also the struggle within the Democrats right now as they look for the beige Bernie and minority Wall St puppet for 2020. How do they check off enough boxes with a candidate to pacify their votes and get them to show up in Novembers while keeping donors happy? Can Tulsi Gabbard? I doubt it considering the heat she is getting from the War Party advocates in the media and within her party. A fracture society yields fractured politics. Despite its powerful anti-white glue, even the Left has problems holding it together as society goes fractal.

Weimerica Weekly - Hunt For The Beige Bernie

New Weimerica Weekly is up at Social matter. I cover the desperate hunt on the Left for Bernie policies coming out of the mouth of a beige puppet. Obama is their model but how many Obamas are there?

A Nationalist News Network

Roger Ailes is gone. Bill O'Reilly is gone. FOX News looks to be turning leftward. If they want this to lower their viewers' average age of 69, they are mistaken as MSNBC has a viewer average age in the 60s as well. FOX's real secret was just being the one option for a large market (right wing middle aged viewers) in the news media space. What is the opportunity out there? Looking at the decayed ideology of neoconservatism and the changing concerns of viewers, it is easy to see.

A Nationalist News Network. A true snazzy, market tested name would be deployed, but consider the opportunity. The key is selling that sweet advertising. Who has money? Well it is easy to see in America that Millenials do not, but dig a bit deeper. The FOX News viewership is older but classic Muh Guns and Muh Constitution whites. They do have young viewers, too. Married couples do have money. White couples do have money. White Millenials will most likely have much more money than non-white Millenials, which skews Millenial numbers.

Cadillac's advertising firm seeking an altright actor is a hint that even the advertisers and marketers know who has money. The proud white next door might be the white that has money to afford life insurance products, financial advice and the occasional Cadillac. The Left has seen the switch in the right's imagery of doughy evangelicals into machismo men, and wants to suppress any positive status associated with nationalist or even altright ideas. The key for this network is being subtle about it to not trip up too many alerts.

A nationalist and soft identitarian stance would be the selling point. The concerns of taxes, Israel and abortion can take a backseat to culture, identity, 'family life', the concept of a nation state and even fair play. Framing the current leftist dominated system as one of an unholy alliance between specific capital interests and culturally left progressives (SJWs), one can see how it is a con promoted by academia and media to keep a well-to-do elite without any fear of challenges or even hard work. It is right to mock the "Dems R Real Racists" slogan, but it is wise to note that the current Left elite uses their underclass voters as urban hostages similar to pre-Civil War plantation owners. The fair play element is how every single thing is stacked against native interests, which carefully revealed as fair play hits normies. No one wants to be considered a 'mark' in the con.

FOX News' website is also as horrible as one can get. For crap tier cable news, CNN's site is actually superior. C'mon, imagine that website run your favorite dissident right individuals that find unique and interesting stories. If Tucker Carlson is enjoyable to watch, how much fun would a truly "Campus Insanity" focused show be? To help secure some viewership of known demographics good for selling advertising, this new network could use O'Reilly. He is basic tier conservative, but as a possible short term stint as he slides to retirement, let him loosen a bit. Blend the old neocon names with younger rightists.

FOX will implode. No turn left will help them as they already are the Schelling Point for leftist hatred of right wing media. No matter how often one points out the media's left wing bias, the knee jerk reaction is 'what about FOX News'. Ah yes, because one cable news channel that is right wing on maybe a handful of items (or one: abortion) combats the entire media sphere. The revelation of FOX as faux opposition in 2015 and 2016 laid bare their treason  to their supposed target audience. In their death though, lies an opportunity.

A billionaire or two and an investment group could come together. Could. We will see. An economist would say there are no $20 lying on the ground, but anyone who has traded stocks successfully knows opportunities are out there if one looks in the right place.

Social Matter - SWPL Culture Is A Moat To Enforce Segregation In Urban Areas

New essay up at Social Matter. There is a pattern to SWPL cultural activities. There is a way that their culture works for their safety and comfort. It is unspoken. It is implicit. The debate is if it is a conscious or unconscious strategy.

Soy Pacification + SM Review-Preview 86

The Soy Meme is a good one. Wagner Clemente Soto's Twitter photo collection of 'effects of too much soy in the diet' is a fun one to cruise through. This has snowballed into more references, images and jokes. One of the more recent ones was that Moldylocks the antifa porn girl had a Soyfriend, not a boyfriend. Brilliant.

It is a joke and a meme, and like the successful ones, works because there is a foundation of truth. Soy does mess with estrogen and testosterone. Soy is a popular substitute for meat. Soy is in Asian cuisine that the SWPLs cite as their one reason to support immigration. It does pacify men by making them a touch more feminine. Physiognomy is real and soy does seem to have an effect.

Soy is not on its own. There is context. Soy's ubiquitous status in lefty pushed food reminds me of BPAs being in receipts and plastics with the government having no problem with it. This is similar to the birth control pill being so widespread that traces of it is in public water. Same for antidepressants, which cause weight gain and lowers sex drive and aggression.

Add to this the weird push for transgenderism with a hyper-focus by the media on boys in skirts. Dope them up with hormones young, no worries, say the media. I would add the glorification of marijuana legalization while simultaneously still treating tobacco like poison. Weed also messes with your T levels. An obese population fits this idea as well.

If these things all have elite blessing, then the social engineering becomes clear that they want a chemically pacified population, especially a chemically pacified male population. An elite wants that when they are worried more about internal conflict and challenges to their rule rather than ginning up men to fight an outside force.

Forget the conspiracy, just look at the patterns. It's a tapestry. It has a goal: securing current elite rule from any challenges.

-------------------------

Last week I wrote on how California's immigration and the marriage between FIRE/Tech and the Democrats created the current apartheid that the media is bemoaning. Weimerica Weekly covered adult day camps.

This week I will cover the odd way SWPL culture acts as an unconscious protection system. Weimerica Weekly is going to cover the conundrum of 'how many Obamas' for the Left. The curious lack of Democrats standing out from November 2016 to today is obvious if you look at the Left's system and its human inputs.

WW1 - The Nivelle Offensive

At this point one hundred years ago, America was entering WW1, the French were starting a wave of mutinies (more like strikes by soldiers) and the Nivelle Offensive was lurching into failure.

Despite roughly three years of ineptitude, the French from Nivelle on down to the lowest commissioned officer thought if they shelled the Germans enough, they would not hold their lines. The sad thing is that the French had poor recon, the Germans had switched to their flexible defense in depth and the underground tunnels and rooms of the Germans made the shelling by the artillery ineffective.

The French waited maybe a few minutes after the artillery stopped and sent out the troops to march into what they thought were decimated German defensive positions. The French advanced slow despite the Germans abandoning their most forward lines. No man's land was still hell with barbed wire and chewed up earth. Eventually the French walked into German machine gun nests. Some French troops even passed underground chambers that they knew nothing about, so that the Germans could then fire on them from two directions and trap them.

When the Germans counterattacked, the French were thrown into chaos. Their saving grace was that the French artillery could continue shelling and pin other Germans down and prevent them from joining the attack. Even the introduction of tanks did not help. The French tanks were lighter than the British ones, and were taken out by German artillery, creating colorful burst of flames in the grey and brown muck. Some tanks were not as long as the trenches they were to roll over, therefore they fell into the trench.

In that first day of the offensive, the French gained maybe a hundred or two hundred yards of territory. Germans had stopped them and inflicted many more casualties on the French than the French ever expected. The French mutinies were with good reason. While dozens of mutineers were shot by Petain who took over for Neville, Neville was sacked, troops were given more rest and an entirely new strategy was formed.

Odd Take On China, Trump + the NORKs

If we rewind time to just after the election, we can see the media getting all flustered by Trump's call to Taiwan and his bombast with regards to China. Less than six months later, and there is chatter about Chinese cooperation and even friendliness with the USG noise around North Korea. Trump's dangling out there positive trade deal outcomes, which is opposite of what he campaigned on but after the Syria missile strike but no ground troops declaration, anything goes.

What's a different way to look at this but not from the American perspective? China's entire 21st century game is managing American decline. They want to use economics to eventually force USG to bow to its desires. It is a long game. China has also been snuggling up with Russia, Iran and others to form a good bloc as a counterweight to USG. it also is selfish because as long as Russia is around, Russia acts as a first meal for USG to swallow and digest before turning to China.

USG has its Red and Blue Empires, and it is obvious Blue Empire has been moving to use China against the Red Empire for years. The Clinton admin kicked over military secrets to the ChiComs, brought them into the WTO, gave them most favored nation trading status and locked China into the mutually assured economic destruction compact that Niall Ferguson calls "Chimerica". Blue thinks it can bide its time and subvert China to eventually get enough elites to call for political liberalization.

China has built up its military but still is a bit of a paper tiger. This is why they are trying to swoop the South China Sea via diplomacy only; they have to. One thing it could do to deflect Blue Empire's advances is cooperate with Red Empire right now. China has to see that the Generals and Red Empire have hitched their wagon to the Trump train. In this moment if Trump is of a different feather than normal politicians, China could create a relationship with Red Empire with cooperation on the NORKs.

The NORKs have nukes. The Clinton admin decided to not use famines as a means to force the NORKs to give up their entire program in exchange for food. The world gave just enough aid to keep the Kims in power. No regime change there. The NORKs are useful in our Godfather Protection Racket as it keeps the Japanese and South Koreans attached to us.

The opportunity for China is to cooperate with the Red Empire side of USG and take out Kim and end the nuclear program, but install a regime of their making. China keeps its vassal but now one they firmly control. China can use this new state as an experiment to rebuild an entire nation. Ghost cities and spending, plus maybe soem Korean war brides for lonely Chinese men. America gets to puff its chest and say it made the world safer. Red Empire still has an adversary to scare the South Koreans and Japanese with but not a nuclear armed one.

Suddenly Trump looks like a maestro and has removed the pesky, annoying Kim wart in the Pacific, maintaining the illusion that the Empire is doing fine in Asia. Combine this with any potential detente with Russia, and the madman the media scared America with looks like the global dealmaker that he pitched himself to be.

China makes friends with Red Empire. The Blue Empire dies a little inside realizing that the ChiComs are onto their game 100% and securing sovereignty. This is an odd take but we live in interesting times. Anything is possible.

Weimerica Weekly - Adult Day Camps

New Weimerica Weekly is up at Social Matter. This one starts with a note on the Battle of Berkeley. The connection of Nathan Damigo (sic?) and the Antifa Porn girl is symbolic of just how degraded the situation has become but also the task at hand for those wishing to save something. I then cover adult day camps because what's more Weimerican than going to Camp No Counselors at age 30?

Devalued Forgiveness

Easter has come and gone. Easter is the culmination of the season of Lent where Jesus' sacrifice for our sins is remembered and celebrated. It is a funny thing to ponder now: sin, forgiveness and sacrifice. This is the YOLO culture. We live in the no judgment society. Forgiveness is easily uttered. As Christianity has withered, so have these subjects. It is not exactly the faith that has devalued these things but the people that live the faith.

There is a common American news ritual now. A horrible crime is committed. Even before the perpetrator is caught, the news goes to the family of the victim for a statement. Rather than keep their mouths shut, they utter the phrase "We forgive the killer". This can floor the viewer of local news or cause others to roll their eyes at the idiot Churchianity types uttering "we forgive these murdering rapists".

One of the worst instances of this was the wife of a pastor in Indianapolis being brutally murdered and raped (while rpegnant) in front of her toddler. This article is from months after when her pastor husband discussed forgiveness. Even before the criminals were caught, the pastor was rolling out on camera talking forgiveness. It was strange to see such reflexive, "I am holy, I forgive you unknown killer of my wife and unborn child".

It was an example of how many Christians have forgotten was forgiveness means. They forgive instinctively without any consideration for the concept of remorse. It could be a status bump to forgive what many would consider unforgiveable. Read the link above and see how the pastor made it all about him not holding onto the horrible feelings of anger. In the sin and horrible act on his family, there were multiple parties, not just his feelings.

This happens even after bigger events than a single murder like terrorism. The forgiveness is easily given and reveals how cheap and devalued it is. What is the awesome power of forgiveness when its spoken as if by a robot? It is common to see and hear this in the news spoken by those wonderful evangelicals that are so devout.

As descendants of the Prots, they come from that line that destroyed the idea of ritual confession. "See kids, only God knows if you're truly remorseful. Going to some silly priest will not absolve you. Silly Papists." The Prot intention that an individual would wrestle with their act and truly grasp their sin and come to terms with God is admirable. It's also possibly only good for believers with good cognitive function. It places the focus of dealing with guilt on the individual, which can be a strong feeling and religious test.

It is also a bad idea for the masses. We have to admit that many individuals barely have agency or awareness of next week. If a church continuously pushes the God loves all despite all shortcomings, that church will be full of those Christians that 'pray' on decisions, royally screw over friends, but then wipe away the act with "God loves me". This Gods loves me no matter what also twists their conception of the afterlife, but that is for another essay.

Losing the ritual of confession also disconnects one from the community, which the priest or reverend is the connector. Confessing would give the priest inside information, and even if you told no one else, there'd be a set of eyes on you that would know. It could be a behavioral control system, and with the backing of God's wrath behind it, a powerful one for the community. It combines guilt culture with a set of eyes that can shame one because of their knowledge.

There is another side to this and part of the reason why forgiveness is devalued now. We are expected to forgive everything. Grudges or even learned prejudices are strongly discouraged. Society wide, why hold one grudge? If you hold a grudge, you might be able to see patterns and hold a grudge against a group... we would not want that unless it is a grudge approved by the progressive clerisy. Forgive mere mortal, you only live once, so why hold onto any hard feelings... everybody does it.

Social Matter - Geographic Apartheid In California Exists To Entrench The One-Party State

New essay up at Social Matter. Joel Kotkin managed to discuss the rural-urban divide in California, but conveniently left out how the reason for this is buried in progressive ideology. It is all tied together. The progressive cities are like vampires that will suck the life out of anywhere to keep their wild dreams alive.

4D Chess Meme + SM Review-Preview 85

The 4D Chess Meme is a brilliant meme for the Trump phenomenon. It is not a new one, but comical when deployed. It becomes a catch all.

Trump says something weird? 4D Chess.

Trump randomly mentions someone? 4D Chess.

Trump screws up a roll out of something which fails but was not his exactly? 4D Chess.

Trump sends his own tax returns that show a billion dollar loss and then sends his returns showing a +$150 million return 8 years later signifying how much bank he made in 8 years to eat through that loss on national TV? 4D Chess.

Trump lobs missiles at Syria but at Assad prior to a meeting in Moscow between foreign ministers and while the Chinese head of state is eating dessert at Mar-A-lago because your forpol guys want the Norks dealt with? 4D Chess.

Similar to appropriating some of The Donald's speech, mannerisms, style or approach for use in everyday life, mentioning the 4D Chess when you stumble into some luck will help you. It adds a layer of mystery or a cloud around your motives, hiding them. It can cover up though for bad executions of things that somehow still turn out okay.

Where this helps Team trump is that he can use the Mad Bomber strategy but without the negative connotations. Nixon used this strategy when Kissinger was talking to the North Vietnamese to resolve the Vietnam War. Nixon wanted everyone, not just the Vietnamese, to know he would go to any length to get a deal with America on favorable terms. The real targets of his moves were the ChiComs and Soviets. He wanted them to see how serious he was. This not only helped with Vietnam but with opening China and détente.

Saying Trump was using Mad Bomber would play right into the media's hands of Trump being a psychotic loose cannon. 4D Chess is a peaceful way to portray oneself as unpredictable without any insane or violent connotations. This matters. Americans love a killer, but a friendly, thinking-man's killer.

Some serious 4d Chess would be... >HYPOTHETICAL< ...if you had analysts that saw an opposing nation trending towards breaking up or internal conflict. How would they break up? Maybe geographically, economically, or along race and ethnic lines. Ah race! One way you could push that would be to help someone who is an outsider to the political teams and already dislikes the players in the current system, doesn't want to play ball. They're young so they could be bought off relatively cheaply for potential huge gains like a penny stock. Why not give them some publicity on your network and why not marry off someone in your orbit to them? Make sure he completes his end of the bargain and knocks her up so she has an anchor baby. Just one, no more needed, but now she definitely can be a propaganda voice for you within the enemy's gates with the amazing ability to feel the true motives or inside info that does pan out. On top of this, magically you have a conduit for any information you want to pipe in or out of the country, even money. Shucks, if the asset becomes an open dissident, you have a Schelling point for all disgruntled people within the country to rally around. Plus, that person pushes a line that would fracture your opponent along one of those fault lines that your deep thinkers see as present. He just needs to say out loud what people think or feel... some may even be unaware. If they gain group awareness or even enough of them call for collective action, well then you the outside force can assist with or guarantee them the right of self-determination in the event your opponent trends closer to conflict. This is how President Wilson encouraged separatists in the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the closing years of WW1.

No, I don't think Mr. Spencer is a Russian agent or that he had a GRU assigned wife, but that would be some seriously buy low, long term 4D Chess by Russia's Deep State if it were true. That's also what the Left peddles when not calling Spencer a Nazi. There was a graphic that had lines and Putin, Dugin, Spencer's Wife, Spencer and then further lines to Miller-Sessions-Trump. It is completely ridiculous. This is a warning about 4D Chess. It can sound like conspiracy theorizing if taken too far.

Last week I wrote on how there will be no patriarchy without patriarchs first. Weimerica Weekly was about the Pepsi Ad that made progs mad.

This week I will cover the hand wringing over the plight of impoverished areas within the blue states that shucks just happen. No one knows how it happens! Weimerica Weekly will most likely be about a topic several of you have sent my way, "Adult Day Camps".

WW1 - The Brest Arsenal

The Brest Arsenal is a collection of military buildings on the northeastern coast of France. Munitions for the war were made there. Keep in mind that when Germany was stopped in 1914, the area that they occupied was an industrialized area. This helped the Germans commandeer French manufacturing and helped the German war effort beyond its own capabilities.

I sometimes write that WW1 was a war that straddled eras. The below picture captures it. The automation we envision with manufacturing modern weapons was partly there but partly not yet arrived. The photo below shows individuals hammering shells back into shape to be reused.

Conspicuous Prog Consumption

Within the world of organic food retailers, there is a trend emerging. The new organic consumers coming up through the ranks are not as wealthy. Whole Foods is creating newer stores that are smaller and offer cheaper options. Trader Joe's is beating Whole Foods in markets. Large grocery chains are offering more and more organic products that eat into Whole Foods. This change in organic food distribution reflects a change progressive consumerism will have to undergo: a poorer prog consumer.

Progressive consumerism allows for conspicuous prog consumption. Political identity can be expressed simply by what one buys. Think of the negative connotation Chik-fil-a has as 'hate chicken'. This works in reverse as one builds their identity. We have formed political thedes and the thedes eventually mold how we act, buy and dress. Crossing over in consumer land is not as hard as crossing over to vote, but there is something similar. Red tribe America laughs at Prius owners.

The younger prog generation is a far more minority filled consumer group. They are poorer. They are loaded with student debt. The first problem retail outlets like Whole Foods run into is that their brands are a white progressive identity. Pulling in non-whites will be a challenge. Have you ever seen a Mexican in a Whole Foods not making a delivery? Of those white progs that remain, they will be poorer than the Boomer or Gen-X generations that built the Whole Foods empire.

This also poses a problem for the idea of conspicuous consumption to signal one's progressive bona fides. If the young generation of progs cannot afford a Prius, a grocery run to Whole Foods and other artisinal, prog approved goods, how are progs going to signal? We can see progs already rationalizing their poverty as a choice with 'tiny houses' and other quirky lifestyle things. These consumer choices though are monthly, weekly or even daily.

Daily signals will need a new channel. This signaling is part of the intra-progressive competition as they jockey for status. It is entirely possible that poor progs throw themselves into political activities, social media outrage, or voicing even stranger and more leftwing ideas publicly. This is not just in mixed group settings, which are happening less, but when they are all together. Consider the venom that happens at caucuses (2008 Iowa Dem comes to mind) during primary season.

It would be wonderful for all if the progressives did not have the money to spend on signaling and would seek status in another way. This would require progressives to disengage from politics. This is a tall order as the entire system needs engagement and will prime these foot soldiers hourly to stay plugged into the political game. The other possibility is that larger brands go all in on progressivism and start aligning their product with one political tribe. Pepsi, the protest choice of the next generation!

Syria: What Do We Know

Assad had it wrapped up. Assad was looking secure. Hell, rebels were signing peace agreements, other rebels were evacuating Aleppo on buses, and even Trump and Tillerson said Assad's control and victory was a fait accompli.

Then an unverified gas attack with several child victims. Child victims don't work when it's European or American children dying at the hands of terrorists. They only work when the Empire can spend money on military toys to force regime change. Trump sent 59 missiles, not much different from Obama's normal actions, but these were lobbed at an Assad air force base.

Roughly one week was all it took for a policy to change and for a president that had campaigned on non-intervention to talk of intervention without clear details. But what do we know? I've been writing on Syria for years now. Sometimes to spotlight how the Saudis and Qataris want a pipeline, the Middle East map will be remade, the Israelis want Oded Yinon implemented, or that some want to use Syria to get to Iran. Conspiracy theory has become openly stated goals from the likes of Bill Kristol and Jennifer Rubin.

We know the interests all ready for intervention beyond the odd fight against ISIS while our partners support ISIS. We know that ISIS is weakened. We know the CIA and DoD are fighting a proxy war as their separately armed militias have even fought each other. We know now Syria has Russia, Iran and possibly China saying enough, and that further action will cause retaliation (the summer 1914 situation). We know that just a week ago, the US State Department and President Trump both said regime change was not a goal, but are now backing off that. We know Secretary of State Tillerson has a meeting with Russian Minister Lavrov next week.

The dark view is that the natsec community or deep state has nudged President Trump down a path of escalation and full on war in Syria. This comes with grim possibilities in the region as the Russians and Iranians have supersonic missiles that could overload and take out American ships in surrounding waters. The Straits of Hormuz could become a hot point, and what happens to the fragile American psyche if a carrier or destroyer is sunk and is flashed on the television screen 24/7 for a week? Nuke exchange? End of USG as its last shred of legitimacy collapses? The last one is a potential upside.

The lighter view is that this is an example of geopolitical brinkmanship as the Syria war looked to be wrapping up, and the Trump administration wanted something as leverage before the Tillerson-Lavrov meeting in Moscow next week. No 4D chess, more Nixonian mad bomber for this week's meeting.

Unless you're in the White House or have a trustworthy source, no one knows anything. There is the possibility that regime change could be redefined to "Assad lives out retirement in exile and a new coastal minority general hand-picked by the Kremlin that was loyal to Assad will be the new head of state". We could see Syria split as specific interests in the game want. Do not count this out as a coastal Assad led Syria still blocks the Saudi-Qatari pipeline. Assad was within his right to protect his regime from the outside funded and armed insurrection, and he was also the weasel that sheltered Iraqi insurgents that fought US soldiers in Iraq.

America will find out shortly what is in store. There is another set of things we know. We all know the on the ground force with the best intel and knowledge of Syrian fighting that is fighting ISIS is Assad's force. We know with American air support and American restriction of rebel supplying by Turkey/KSA/US State/CIA, Assad could mop them up quickly. We know America should be fighting with Assad not against him.

We also know that the civil war in Syria was part of the CIA/State Arab Spring project. America, the Gulf kingdoms, Turkey. Israel and the EU's culpability in this gruesome multiyear war is a black mark on the rotten history of America's global empire. We know that what America and its wealthy partners should do is find a peaceful resolution to the Syrian conflict, send those Syrian men too scared to fight back home, and pledge billions to rebuilding the Syria they destroyed. Historical sites thousands of years old are not coming back, but running water, working electricity and basic shelter are possible.

Syria has suffered enough. No war in Syria. Send reconstruction funds, not bombs, and leave Syria alone to try to rebuild what they lost.
