WW1 Recruiting In The Bahamas

I love this recruitment. "What's the matter with you?" People knew this was an insane match up but the elite were to invested to make peace.

Spending my days in the sun swimming, diving, spearfishing, and drinking cocktails

slogging about in the mud in a bloody, pointless war engineered by the hostile elites.

That's a tough one.

It's very straight forward, fight for the British Empire and not "Freedumbs". In the WWI letters of the Indian soldiers is King George who is frequently mentioned as the reason they're in Europe fighting, they took pride in fighting for the Monarch of the Empire.

I learned today that my paternal great-grandfather's brother died in WWI combat. Living in the Prussian partition of Poland, he fought in the German army.

What madness possessed the West to engage in this mindless, pointless fratricide?
