Social Matter - The Progressive Twilight Zone

New essay up at Social Matter. This one starts off with an ode to the Twilight Zone. The true Twilight Zone environment we find ourselves in may not be as bad as the future will be if the DSM V changes are an indicator. The Left never rests. They are always looking and attacking.

Yes, the echo of Soviet times is unmistakable. But in some respects it is already worse:

"The Russians whom I know in the Boston area say that there is narrower range of political expression tolerated in Massachusetts than there was in the former Soviet Union (you could disagree with the party line at social gatherings or at work, whereas if you did the same thing in Massachusetts you’d be an unemployed social outcast)."

The soft sciences are almost complete crap. Have you heard of this thing?

It seems to be a huge fad at the moment.

Interesting link. Mention is made of a kind of leftist Free State Project to turn red states blue. Not sure what to make of the libertarian's Free State Project in NH. The state government is red, but the libertarians did their best to throw the state to Hillary. Of course Ayotte lost, but I'd say that was on her.

Re; baby sign language - Yes, as a father of 3 I have seen this pushed a lot. We stay away from it. Seems a way for daycares to upsell.
