WW1 - Lonely Rifleman



To be posted and serve a dying regime. This single rifleman serves on the Italian Front for the Austro-Hungarian Imperial forces.

A poignant picture from a savage front of a God-awful war. Both the Italian and Austro-Hungarian armies were better than their reputations suggest, at least at the level of individual soldiers and small units, as can be seen from the horrific casualties they inflicted on each other. Of course, both governments and higher commands were totally f*cked in the head, but, as our soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq could tell you, that's hardly unusual, or confined to the past.

The Italians managed to get more than a half million snuffed during the fighting up in the Alps. The Austrians just about the same. The ability of the generals to direct their troops; well they just didn't have a clue. If they had been leading from the front, I suspect they would of found some other way to attack. Something other than frontal attacks. But as long as it was somebody else....no change.

A million killed over control of some mountain passes that could never support any big offensive.

WWI was the beginning of the jewish-led US/UK dismembering large European countries, the German Empire, Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Ottoman Empire (maybe the Middle-East wouldn't be the shitshow that is today of the Turks were still ruling over the Arabs.)


Yugoslavia was the latest dismembering, small countries are obligated to join Globalist Organizations like NATO, EU, UN,...
