Social Matter - Weimerica Weekly - The Ferguson Effect

This week's Weimerica Weekly is up. Hipster Cop stops by to discuss the Ferguson Effect, and what she is seeing and hearing at ground level. Are criminals emboldened? Does this affect our system of probation and criminal management not just apprehending crooks? This podcast is just under 30 minutes, so perfect listening for a lunch break or your commute.

OT, but this is good fodder for your Weimerica series.

I have to say, wow. I listened to the podcast last night and woke up this morning to the MSP brouhaha.

The wow is probably not in the vein you might first be thinking. It concerns the Orlando shooting. MSP was "live-streamed" and yet in marked contrast not one video, not one selfie has come out of Orlando. Just a long list of names that mostly hail from Puerto Rico? I've been sceptical about Orlando. From your podcast, I wasn't sure if you shared that scepticism or I was inferring something that wasn't there based on my own bias.

BTW, much-improved audio quality this time. Whatever you're doing, keep it up.
