Social Matter Weimerica Weekly Sexy Teachers

New Weimerica Weekly is up at Social Matter. This one starts with a bit of a clarification of what Weimerica is but then gets into the main topic of teachers who have sex with their students. Why is this a trend? Why is this bubbling up now? I spotlight two cases that are spectacular for their weirdness.

Can we start the lawsuit against teachers unions or the NEA? They have the money.

I've noticed that the teachers are usually white and the students are usually Students of Color

That tells you something right there

white boys just aint packing it so white women must get with Young Men of Color in order to quench the fire that burns

At my high school, well over a decade ago, it was well known that there were three teachers who were having sex with students. It was an open secret but nobody wanted to snitch because as horny teenage boys, that meant that our 1 in 1,000 chance would go away. One of those teachers was a man and coached the girls softball team. He wound up getting fired after getting caught but those other two teachers are still there and probably still having sex with teenage boys.

I think this stuff has been around for a while but I believe you're right, we're in a situation now where women have less, if any inhibitions about their sex lives. In Weimerica, it seems as if you have a inalienable right to get off (not so much speech or bearing arms however) and if she wants to have power over a 13 year old AA student (to go off of what Tiny Duck is saying, even though he is trolling), then she deserves to be able to groom a student regardless of the consequences.

Another factor is just general thirstiness and lowered standards among men in general. How many men would be willing to date, marry, and have children with an attractive woman who is a lifelong registered sex offender? Imagine asking this question in 1956, 1986, and 2016 and seeing what the results would be. Women get away with a lot in our modern era because she knows there's always a man who wants her regardless of what she does, how she treats men, etc. A cute teacher who got probation for sleeping with her students can for example "find Jesus", participate in church social events, and meet a fortysomething divorced father. Maybe he had a bitter divorce, feels conscious about aging, and hey, here's a 32 year old cutie who can probably give him one or two more children. Sure, she's a pedophile who groomed and threatened a child, but hey, she makes him feel desirable again. So they get married and she gets a second life. A woman always has options, even if she's a pedophile sex offender. I feel like 60 years ago, she would be shunned and would have to move town and even 30 years ago. Now? She's empowered!

As a white man, I wouldn't mind living in the world that the "VerySmartBrothas" live in, but, wherever it is, it ain't here. Please give space-time coordinates, Mr. Gold, so that I can transfer there immediately...

Good episode as always. Two thoughts for a future episode:

-- widespread child abuse in Hollywood and how it's buried

-- More broadly, (((societal))) obfuscation on child molestation. E.g. A huge proportion of the abuse cases in the church can be put at the feet of gays grooming/preying on teenage boys, as opposed to abusing young children. One of the largely unstated objections to mainstreaming gays is that they like it young, seek out teens and groom teens who are confused/"questioning"/otherwise vulnerable. (Going back to the earlier point, mainstream gays provide air cover for pedos; how dare you criticize a teen EXPLORING HIS SEXUALITY, even if he does it with a 30 year old man.)

One more broad point. A lot of alt-right commentary treats hypersexuality as "normal" people having more sex because society lets them. To my mind that is exactly backward: Gays, teachers who sleep with students, Tumblr women are deeply broken and acting on fundamentally perverse impulses--paraphilias, whatever you want to call them. The best explanation I've heard is PMAN's at MPC: The environment we live in is oppressively complex, so much so that most people's brains simply aren't capable of processing it, and drives people to behave in unnatural ways.

At the base of things, people aren't rational. They do a great job of post-facto justification and narrative-spinning, but at the root of things they're acting on deeply buried impulses shaped by their biology and societal programming. The stories we tell about why we do things are rationalizations about irrational things.

And yes, I do believe in agency and free will, but we are still creatures that live in an environment and respond to it (i.e. we are fallen). When that environment changes, our challenges change, and we have to understand that.
