WW1: First Battle Of The Marne

 Feels staged, but supposedly French troops in the First battle of the Marne. It is as if the Euros did not look at the results of warfare with trench activity in the Civil War or the automatic fire that gave an advantage to defensive forces.

It was still a war of maneuver at that time. The trenches came later.

You can't tell from the black and white photo but they wore bright red pants and sometimes red caps with a blue coat.

DJF - If youve followed this photo series, then you wouldve seen the poster I posted thst showed all the uniforms of the allies including the ridiculous red pants unis.
